FULLY ELASTIC PRICING

p4d offers truly flexible and elastic pricing for developers and ISV’s. It is based upon resource usage so that developers pay only for resources used by applications. Our pricing model is based on units of resource called cloudlets. Each cloudlet represents approximately 400MHz of CPU and 128MB of RAM and costs 0,01£/hour or 6£/month. You can set a minimum number of cloudlets to be reserved for your application and also set maximum limits should application demand increase. If you simply want a fixed bill every month, you can set a fixed number of cloudlets for your environment.

AUTOMATIC VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL SCALING

Applications automatically scale and load balance across servers. Only p4d supports automatic vertical scalability, allowing each application to use only those resources required at any time. As soon as an applications load grows, the cloud platform simply makes additional resources available to it. When the load goes down again, the resources are reduced by the platform automatically. Automatic horizontal scaling is based on load triggers is available. It allows developers to handle load spikes without reserving a lot of ressources. Sticky Http and TCP load-balancing is provided by default via Nginx, HAPrxy and Apache load balance servers.

Primary chargeable resources are RAM & CPU. They are measured in a p4d resource unit called a Cloudlet (roughly equivalent to 128 MB RAM and 400MHz CPU). Resource consumption for each environment is charged to the account owner on an hourly basis.

What is charged with p4d?<

With p4d you pay only for consumed resources, Pay-Per-Use. The billing is hourly. The Cloudlet with 400 MHz & 128 MB costs 0,0055 DNT/h (0,0022 $/h). 1 GB costs 0,0001 DNT/h (0,00004 $/h). 1 IP costs 0,001 DNT/h (0,0004 $/h). The shared SSL certficate costs 0,007 DNT/h (0,003 $/h). The bandwidth is for free, ZERO DNT or $.

How much do the resources cost ?

p4d provides a versatile billing model, allowing you to choose if you prefer usage based pricing, fixed pricing, or a combination of both options (Hybrid Pricing).

What pricing model is used ?

p4d can give you automatic discounts for your resource usage depending on the amount that you consume. 15% discount are offered starting from 8 Reserved Cloudlets and 5% are offered starting from 8 Dynamic Cloudlets. In addition, 5% cumulative discounts are offered starting from 15, 30, 60, 120 & 240 Cloudlets.
